About the Author
Steven Holzner is an award-winning author of 94 books that have sold over two million copies and been translated into 18 languages. He served on the Physics faculty at Cornell University for more than a decade, teaching both Physics 101 and Physics 102. Dr. Holzner received his Ph.D. in physics from Cornell and performed his undergrad work at MIT, where he has also served as a faculty member.

Disappointed...
I bought this book for physics w/o calculus and used it maybe once or twice. It is good if you don't understand the concepts but terrible for helping you work out the problems. I don't know about anyone else but at my school, problem solving was all we were graded on. In the end I don't think it was worth the money.
it is an easy read and fun
This is a totally diferent approach from the tranditional text book. It does give a better idea of physics world but not as indepth. If you just want to read for fun it is a much faster and fun and easier read.

I took physics for the first time last semester and had an aweful textbook. This book really helped me. It doesn't get fancy with deriving equations and junk like that. The best thing about this book is that is is CLEAR and TO THE POINT.
